Bio
I am very fortunate to have come from a family of music educators. My mother and my Grandfather both taught high school band, choir and orchestra until they retired. My sister and members of my extended family are also public school music educators.
I studied music education and performance at North Idaho College, University of Oregon School of Music and Portland State University with a BA from Portland State.
I teach Piano, Guitar, Drums, Ukulele, Bass Guitar and Rock Band. I teach classically as well a more modern pop/rock focused approach.
As a performer, I've been fortunate to tour nationally and internationally, performing at renowned music festivals and in some of the most reputable venues across the United States.
I have been teaching in the Greater Portland area for 11 years and counting! I have taught at highly esteemed organizations such as Youth Music Project, Ethos Music Center, Chordination, as well as after school music programs in Portland Public Schools.
